Hiya! I'm Jen and I am thrilled that you have taken the time to see if we would make a good team on your health journey. Just by being here, you have proven to yourself that you are ready to make some serious changes in your life, and for that, I applaud you!

Why I chose to go into health coaching (the short version!): I was always an athlete growing up, but my life took a complete 180 degree turn when I started college and discovered binge drinking and 2am junk food runs. I put on "The Freshman 50 (lbs)" and stayed overweight through college and well into my 30's. I thought being the "fat, funny girl" was just my new identity, so I never really cared or made any attempt to turn my life around. It wasn't until I had my first son that the lightbulb finally turned on and I realized how out of shape I was when I couldn't keep up with my energetic toddler. When I tried getting pregnant the second time, I couldn't. My doctor told me that my weight was to blame for my infertility and that was the "A-HA moment" I needed to get my ass in gear and make some serious changes to my life! It really was a blessing in disguise.

I decided to go into health coaching for beginners because when I started on my weight loss journey, I was absolutely clueless on where to begin. I wasted so much time trying to Google workout plans and diets that just weren't right for me. I kept reading so much contradicting information that I felt like my head was about to explode! I ended up losing over 50 pounds, but it took me YEARS since I did not have guidance or a support system in place. I don't want anyone to have to struggle the way I did... so that is why I am here!

"LOSE WEIGHT WITHOUT STEPPING FOOT INSIDE A GYM" is a huge part of my coaching strategy, because I did it and I know you can, too! Gym-Intimidation is a real thing and I experienced it first-hand. Though I absolutely love working out in a gym now, I didn't start out that way. I was absolutely TERRIFIED at the thought and know there is a good chance you are feeling the same way. Good News!
